In the Azores, it is possible to watch whales throughout the year, with emphasis on the imposing sperm whales, a resident species of the archipelago. However, each season offers a unique opportunity to spot different types of whales. In spring and autumn, for example, it is possible to see the majestic blue whales and humpback whales, which migrate through these waters.
In our whale and dolphin watching activity, each tour is a unique and unpredictable experience, as we work with wild animals whose behavior can vary from moment to moment. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that we will see only whales, only dolphins, or both on a single tour. However, we are committed to providing sightings of at least one of the species of whales or dolphins present in the waters of the Azores.
If, for any reason, no sightings occur during the tour, The customer will be offered a new free tour. And, in the case of adverse weather conditions that make it impossible to carry out the activity or unavailability, we guarantee a full refund.
We know that each person reacts differently to the swing of the sea. To ensure your experience is even more enjoyable, we recommend taking a motion sickness pill before the activity.
Our activities require specific weather conditions. If canceled due to unfavorable conditions, customer will receive a different date or full refund.
To ensure maximum comfort during the tour, we recommend bringing water, sunscreen, comfortable clothes and shoes, as well as layers of clothing appropriate for the season. If the activity includes going into the water, don't forget to bring appropriate footwear, swimwear and a towel.
To ensure maximum comfort and safety, we recommend that pregnant women, children up to 2 years of age, and people with reduced mobility book on our larger vessels.
