With 29 species of cetaceans recorded, the islands are home to around 33% of the world's known species, making this experience one of the most enriching and unforgettable, in the heart of the Atlantic.
Our method combines the experience of the lookouts, who observe whales and dolphins from high points on the island with long-range binoculars, with the experience of our team, ensuring a safe and respectful approach, in accordance with the Azores conduct code for cetacean observation. This model results in approximately 98% success rates for year-round sightings.

Sighting guarantee: In our whale and dolphin watching activity, each tour is a unique experience and unpredictable, as we work with wild animals whose behavior can vary from moment to moment. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that we will see only whales, only dolphins, or both on a single tour. However, we are committed to providing sightings of at least one of the species of whales or dolphins present in the waters of the Azores.
If, for any reason, no sightings occur during the tour, The customer will be offered a new free tour. And, in the case of adverse weather conditions that make it impossible to carry out the activity or unavailability, we guarantee a full refund.

Responsible conduct: These standards establish fundamental principles for conscious and responsible interaction with whales and dolphins in the Azores. By following this conduct, we actively contribute to the promotion of sustainable tourism in the region.
WHALE WATCHING RULES IN THE AZORES
✘ Feeding or touching animals is prohibited
✘ Do not exceed the animals' travel speed or make abrupt steering maneuvers
✘ Avoid noise, as well as the separation of animals in groups, especially the isolation of calves
✘ It is forbidden to approach closer than 50 meters, unless they approach voluntarily, in which case, disengage the engines
✘ Do not exceed the observation time limit of 30 minutes per group
