SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS

Initially, a short simulation will get you used to the equipment and teach the best way to enter in the ocean, minimizing the impact on the dolphins for a safe and respectful approach. Then the Vigia, person who searches for whales and dolphins, will guide the boat to a dolphin area. It will be an unforgettable experience watching and listening them in their natural habitat.

Not suitable for Swimming with dolphins and Snorkeling activities: pregnant women, children under 8 years old, people with back problems, reduced mobility, heart problems, severe health problems and those with recent surgeries.

NO SWIMMER

For children between 3 and 7 years old, and for those who choose to follow the activity on board. Customers who give up during the activity, demonstrate poor swimming ability, or demonstrate inability to use the necessary equipment will not be considered No Swimmers.

OUR SIGHTING GUARANTEE

In our Swimming with Dolphins activity, we cannot predict if it will be only dolphins, only whales or both on a single tour, since we work with wild animals, and their behavior is unpredictable. However, we guarantee to sight at least one dolphin or whale species listed for the Azores. If no dolphins and no whales species are sighted during the tour, the customer will have the possibility of another free tour, or in case of unavailability due to weather conditions, a full refund.

WHALE OR DOLPHIN SPECIES OBSERVED AND NO SWIMMING

Although our aim is to swim with dolphins, we cannot predict whether we will achieve it, since we work with wild animals, and their behavior is unpredictable. Nevertheless, if at least one species of dolphin or whale is observed and it is not possible to swim with dolphins (note: swimming with whales is forbidden in the Azores, only available when authorized by the Government of the Azores and for purposes that promote its conservation and sustainability), customer will have the possibility of another free tour, or in case of unavailability due to weather conditions, the No Swimmer fee will be applied.
